Homemade LCD Tablet Screen

I have been oogling over the new Cintiq 21UX lately and I want one, but they are too expensive... So my brother, Mookie Pants created his own just to see how it would work. It's like drawing on an actual piece of paper, but digitally! So cool. So cool!

The LCD screen is from Mook's homemade projector that isn't running at the moment, so he used that, my Bamboo tablet on the bottom and a sheet of glass to protect the screen on top to make it. It's not quite as good as my tablet alone, which makes sense because the pen's signal has to go through a few layers... but it's still amazing and awesome.

I signed up to Fiverr a few days ago to see if I would get anyone interesting in buying some of my art and I was totally surprised that I have gotten 4 requests already:

Lovely Perry Pants was my first ever real life commissioner and I was super excited to do this for him! :)

In color!

Driving back home

For anyone who doesn't know already, my dad broke his collar bone and wrist while he was on an unfamiliar biking trail in Alberta, so we had to go home earlier than expected. Here are some photos and stories from the drive back home. :)

Day 1:

I think I have told the story about Teddy Jr. at least 5 times and I am going to tell it again here because it needs to be shared to the internet world... It's really not that amazing, but I thought it was pretty special!

We were on our way home, driving fast, when suddenly somethings hits me in the face and lands on my lap. I look down and it is Teddy Jr. The grasshopper. He has guts (or maybe it was poop) on my leg and he tries to jump, but he doesn't get very far and lands on the seat. I let him sit there, until later on where I pick him up and put a small puddle of water in my palm. He is on the tip of my finger and rushes over to the puddle and drinks. It was magical. But unfortunately later on Teddy Jr. is not doing so good... He is barely moving. I put him on a nice tree branch outside of our hotel and say goodbye. And that is my story.

Thunderstorm

We were watching Fantastic Mr. Fox (Which is a fantastic movie and I think you should watch it!) when half way through a lovely thunderstorm started and I couldn't hear most of the dialog because the rain was pouring down so hard. It was amazing. I tried to take some photos.

 Note: It's 12 at night.

I think it's hailing now...

The weather has been all over the place. We had a huge thunder storm last night. It was so windy I was afraid the camper might rise up from the ground and we would be carried away with the wind.

The sunset looks like this almost every night. You can't take enough photos.
