I personally think that reference helps people improve. It's like, the magic from the artist will rub off on you, you know?

You should only reference from real life.
It really is awesome. like i keep saying your art is continually evolving. i kind of agree with dan. occasionally i will use a picture to reference for a painting and i feel so guilty.
The reference was from real life, a photo? I just put my style into it, so it looks anime-ish still. :<
IhHardly ever use reference, but I found the photo on Google and thought it would be cute if I made it Shrimp and Manny.
